BOKS

BOKS

 Dear Parents/Guardians:

We are pleased to announce the launch of BOKS, a before school physical activity program, at Squantum School this Spring.  BOKS prepares children for a day of learning and is an important step in helping children gain an appreciation of the benefits of exercise and healthy choices that will last a lifetime.  A typical BOKS class consists of team-oriented games, warm ups, running, relay races and much more.

BOKS is open to students in kindergarten through fifth grade.  The program will run on Monday and Wednesday mornings from 7:20 am to the start of the school day.  Parents are responsible for transporting their child to school.  Please Note: Due to the popularity of this program, we can only offer BOKS to each student ONE (1) day per week at this time. Safety is our top priority, so we must keep group sizes at reasonable numbers.  You will have the option to select which day works best for your family schedule.

HOW TO REGISTER:

We will be using an online registration system for the Spring session.  To register your child for BOKS please use the following links. Please only register your child for one of the sessions. If the session you would like is full, we will be creating a waitlist.  Registration opens on Monday February 10th.  Registration will be a first come first serve basis.

BOKS is designed to involve the whole community and family.  If you are interested in becoming a volunteer please contact Ms. Healy at meghanhealy@quincypublicschools.com or Mr. Miller at brianmiller@quincypublicschools.com.  You can also visit the BOKS website at www.bokskids.org for more program details.  We hope that you will share our enthusiasm for this program and you will, in turn, see a positive impact on your children.

Thank you,
